I don’t think of myself as a style icon – far from it. Up until very recently my idea of dressing up consisted of black jeans and a three-quarter sleeves shirt. But like any girl or woman (and even some men) I do like fashion, so for about a year now I’ve been trying to broaden my horizons in the world of matching what’s already in my wardrobe and buying new items (that aren’t only jeans). In the last year my Ikea wardrobe has been transformed from a home for jeans and T-shirts into a dress-galore custom-made built in walnut mansion.
Same goes for my hair and make-up. I’m usually no-fuss, let it be quick foundation and ponytail kind of a person, but once again I have tried new things from eyeliners to wearing my hair in buns, braids (I recently discovered fish-tail one) and son on. I love Pinterest as it gives me plenty of ideas, but sometimes I do find it exasperating as I feel as if I need three or even four hands to achieve that elusive look. But it’s not going to stop me from trying.
